Our client, a multinational Insurance company, is hiring a Bilingual (Japanese and English) Billing Center Manager.

Job Title: Billing Center Manager (Permanent Position)

COMPENSATION: 12 Million JPY per year

EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in accounting-related positions is a plus
  • Experience in the Insurance industry is a plus
  • Experience in accounting/ audit firm is a plus

SKILLS:

  • Understanding of J GAAP accounting (equivalent to Nissho bookkeeping second grade)
  • Strong command of Microsoft Excel. Can handle large amount of data
  • Good understanding of Data structure and system flow

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Product owner for customer and call center interface managing customer journey related to monetary transactions (e.g. premium payment)
  • Understand current billing center definition and defining the vision of the billing center
  • Managing and prioritizing the product backlog
  • Ensure development team understand the backlog
  • Design & develop functionality for process simplification
  • Primary liaison between the team working on the billing center from different divisions
  1. Premium collection control & accounting
  • Monitor the daily premium collection process (Direct debit, credit card, CVS, etc.)
  • Reconcile premium collections with banks account movements
  • Validate proper accounting of premiums related posting (premium issued, the premium collected, suspense accounts, premium canceled etc.)
  • Generate reports related to premiums (collected, uncollected, by payment method, etc.)
